This is the final week to receive a reduced vendor fee for the 10th Annual Home, Garden & Business Expo which will be held on Saturday, April 10th from 9am-2pm at Cheshire High School.  Consider one our various sponsor opportunities for this popular and well attended event!  The Kiwanis Breakfast kicks off the event at 8am. Family Martial Arts and Fitness has developed a free outreach program for community members and groups.  Recognizing that violence can strike anyone at anytime, this month’s instructional program provides a basic seminar in self defense for women and youths. The 1 and a half hour program is designed first and foremost to help participants avoid violent or dangerous situations. No prior martial arts experience is required. The seminar is free and is offered at  490 Cornwall Ave., Cheshire at 2:00 PM. To register call 203.439.9193. Family Martial Arts and Fitness is owned and managed by Master Gary Baylor.

 The Blue Jeans Ball will be held Thursday, March 25th,  at Villa Rossa in Waterbury.  Family Services of Greater Waterbury is hosting a night of hors d’oeuvres, wine and comedy. John Milone, of Milone & MacBroom, will receive an award. To purchase tickets, please go to the website at www.familyservicesgw.org  or call 203-591-2390.  Tickets are $35 per person.  It is open seating unless you reserve a table for 10 guests.
